Panto Review: Russell Grant & Suzanne Shaw star in Cinderella at the Aylesbury Waterside Theatre

Christmas wouldn’t be Christmas without a great panto and Cinderella at the Aylesbury Waterside Theatre makes all your dreams and wishes come true. Appealing to adults as well as children, the production features sparkling sets and terrific costumes as well as plenty of witty one-liners.

Aaron Sidwell & Louise English join world premiere of Blockbuster The Musical

It has been announced that Aaron Sidwell (pictured right) and Louise English will star alongside Suzanne Shaw and Paul Nicholas in the world premiere of Blockbuster The Musical.

The jukebox musical will feature hits of the legendary song-writing team Nicky Chinn and Mike Chapman who dominated the pop world in the 1970s and 1980s.

The cast also includes: Blair Anderson, Michael Antony, Ami Atkinson, Grace Holdstock, Vickie Hoyles, Alim Jayda, Lee Honey-Jones, Tom Millan, Tom Murphy, Carla Nella, Rosie O’Hare, Micha Richardson, Ryan Ridley. 

Blockbuster The Musical will receive its world premiere at the Orchard Theatre in Dartford between 11th and 20th September. It will then tour to the Alexandra Theatre in Birmingham between 22nd and 27th September and the Ashcroft Theatre in Croydon between 29th September and Saturday 4th October. A 2015 UK Tour is planned.

Suzanne Shaw, Russell Grant & Andrew Derbyshire cast in Aylesbury's pantomime

Principal casting has been announced for Cinderella at the Aylesbury Waterside Theatre. The pantomime will star Suzanne Shaw as Fairy Godmother and Russell Grant as Baron Hardup.


Russell said: “It's like Christmas has come early! I had such a fabulous time in Peter Pan two years ago that when I was offered the chance to return I jumped at it. The town’s great, the theatre is gorgeous and the audiences were in a league of their own, a real blast to play to. I can’t wait!”

Theatre stars including Bonnie Langford, Joe Pasquale, Sam Attwater & Gareth Gates returning to Dancing On Ice for all-stars series

It has been announced that several West End performers are returning to ITV's Dancing On Ice for its final all-stars series. Spamalot co-stars Bonnie Langford, Joe Pasquale, Todd Carty and Hayley Tamaddon will reunite alongside Sam Attwater (Rocky Horror Show), Gareth Gates (Legally Blonde, Les Mis), Ray Quinn (Grease), Zaraah Abrahams (Beautiful Thing) and Suzanne Shaw (Chicago).


14 celebrities in total have signed up to return to the show for its final series, which is due to air on ITV early next year. Phillip Schofield and Christine Bleakley will be back to host the show, while Torvill & Dean will return for the last time to train the stars. The duo will also celebrate the 30th anniversary of their Olympic bolero during DOI: All-Stars.

Richard Mylan, Suzanne Shaw and Nicola Stapleton to star in new play, Baggage


Casting has been announced for the forthcoming world premiere of Baggage, a new play exploring the world of internet dating by John Muirhead and Mike Charlesworth, at the Arts Theatre. Baggage will be directed by Audrey Cooke and will run at the Arts from 6th September to 6th October (press performances on 10th, 11th and 12th September). The cast will be made up of Charlie De’ath as James, Richard Mylan as Adam, Suzanne Shaw as Geraldine, Nicola Stapleton as Sandy and Dan Wilder.
