Rehearsal images have been released for the new UK tour of End of the Rainbow starring Lisa Maxwell as Judy Garland, Gary Wilmot as Anthony and Sam Attwater as Mickey. Check out the pictures below (click image to enlarge). 

End of the Rainbow first premiered at the Sydney Opera House in 2005, before playing at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2006. It returned to the UK in 2010 in a new production at Northampton Royal & Derngate, transferring to the West End the same year where it ran for 6 months and received four Olivier Award nominations. A Broadway run followed in 2012, where it received three Tony Award nominations. 

Lisa Maxwell, Gary Wilmot & Sam Attwater to star in End Of The Rainbow UK tour

Lisa Maxwell is set to play Judy Garland in a new UK tour of End Of The Rainbow. 

The former Loose Women panelist and star of The Bill will perform alongside Gary Wilmot (Dirty Rotten Scoundrels/Me and My Girl) as Anthony and Sam Attwater (Dancing On Ice/Rocky Horror) as Mickey. At certain performances the role of Judy Garland will be played by Ellen Verenieks.

End Of The Rainbow will run at the Mercury Theatre in Colchester between 12th and 20th February 2016. Check out full tour dates below. 

Theatre stars including Bonnie Langford, Joe Pasquale, Sam Attwater & Gareth Gates returning to Dancing On Ice for all-stars series

It has been announced that several West End performers are returning to ITV's Dancing On Ice for its final all-stars series. Spamalot co-stars Bonnie Langford, Joe Pasquale, Todd Carty and Hayley Tamaddon will reunite alongside Sam Attwater (Rocky Horror Show), Gareth Gates (Legally Blonde, Les Mis), Ray Quinn (Grease), Zaraah Abrahams (Beautiful Thing) and Suzanne Shaw (Chicago).

14 celebrities in total have signed up to return to the show for its final series, which is due to air on ITV early next year. Phillip Schofield and Christine Bleakley will be back to host the show, while Torvill & Dean will return for the last time to train the stars. The duo will also celebrate the 30th anniversary of their Olympic bolero during DOI: All-Stars.

Ladies, imagine you're out and about one afternoon. You meet a man, marry him a couple of hours later and then arrive at his house to discover he has six brothers and really only married you so you could look after them. I presume you wouldn't be too pleased? Well that is the situation Milly (played by Helena Blackman) finds herself in, in Patti Colombo's new production of Seven Brides for Seven Brothers. Needless to say Milly takes it all on the chin and ends up introducing the six brothers to six of the girls from her village (and I'm sure you can imagine what happens next).

Review: Dreamboats and Petticoats at the Wyndham's Theatre

Dreamboats and Petticoats is based around Fifties and Sixties hits from the album series of the same name. The show features songs from Roy Orbison, The Everly Brothers, Neil Sedaka, Eddie Cochran, Dion and Del Shannon, among others. Set in 1961, the show follows young musicians Norman and Bobby as they compete to win the hearts of their adoring female fans – and more importantly, the gorgeous Sue. But when shy Laura shows that she’s no slouch on the piano, rock ‘n’ roll fame beckons...

Dreamboats and Petticoats is a good show with great music and amazing performers which guarantees to get the whole audience up on their feet at the end of each performance. The show is a perfect alternative family show as parents will love the music while the younger ones will enjoy the light hearted story and loveable characters.
