West End Frame: Full casting announced for Annie UK tour starring Craig Revel Horwood

Full casting has been announced for the brand new UK touring production of Annie. Nikolai Foster directs with choreography by Nick Winston.

The show will open at the Newcastle Theatre Royal between 11th - 18th July 2015 ahead of a year-long UK Tour

As previously announced, Craig Revel Horwood will star as Miss Hannigan. However, due to his Strictly Come Dancing commitments, at certain performances the role will be played by Lesley Joseph (Birds of a Feather), Jodie Prenger (winner of I'd Do Anything) and Elaine C. Smith (I Dreamed a Dream).

Alex Bourne will play Daddy Warbucks alongside Jonny Fines as Rooster, Djalenga Scott as Lily and Holly Dale Spencer as Grace Farrell. Madeleine Haynes, Isabella Pappas and Sophia Pettit will share the title role.

The ensemble includes: Lewis Bradley, James Evans, Nic Gibney, Kate Somerset How, Sinead Kenny, Michael Lin, Alice Liveing, Callum Mcardle and Anne Smith. Megan Louch, Heather Scott Martin, Ben Mundy and Steven Oliver Bundles complete the adult cast as swings.

The children alternating the roles of Kate, Molly, Tessie, July, Duffy and Petter are: Ashley Goldberg, Daisy Parry, KateWoodman, Jessica Cartledge, Nikoo Saeki, Rosanna Beacock, Lissy Mant, Scarlet Churchhouse, Chloe Bowes, Connie Burgess, Mia Hope, Tegan Williams, Asha Banks, Amelia Love Coleman, Natasha Raphael, Claudia Ross Carlier, Liani Samuel and Scarlett Flannery.

Annie - which has music by Charles Strouse, lyrics by Martin Charnin and book by Thomas Meehan - features the numbers It’s A Hard Knock Life, Easy Street, I Don’t Need Anything But You and Tomorrow.
