Casting has been announced for the Asian Tour of Ghost The Musical which kicks off next month (see tour dates below).
Directed by Matthew Warchus with choreography by Ashley Wallen, Ghost The Musical has book and lyrics by Bruce Joel Rubin who adapted his Academy Award-winning original screenplay for the stage. Original music and lyrics are by Dave Stewart and Glen Ballard.
Andrew Langtree from the original West End cast is reprising his performance as Carl Bruner whilst Wendy Mae Brown (pictured right) is reprising her performance as Oda Mae Brown from the musical's UK Tour. They are joined by Lucie Jones (Les Miserables / We Will Rock You) as Molly Jensen and Liam Doyle (Wicked / Mamma Mia) as Sam Wheat.
The cast also includes: Fernando Contreras as Willie Lopez, Stevie Hutchinson as Subway Ghost, Evette Marie White as Clara and Lydia Warr as Louise
Michael Cortez, Chris Warner Drake Linus Henrikkson, Dale Evans, Michael Stewart, Robert Knight, Hiba Elchikhe, Jocasta Almgill, Andrea Laxton, Francesca Hoffman, Micha Richardson and Livvy Evans complete the cast.
The creative team for the Asian Tour includes: Paul Warwick Griffin (Associate Director), Ashley Wallen (Choreographer), James McKeon (Musical Supervisor), Will Burton CDG (Casting Director), Chris Hirst (Associate Lighting Designer), Simon King (Associate Sound Designer) and Chris Fisher (Illusions Associate).
Ghost The Musical premiered in Manchester in 2011 and opened in the West End later that year. The show then transferred to Broadway in 2012; Richard Fleeshman and Caissie Levy originated the roles of Sam and Molly in all three productions. Ghost The Musical has toured the UK, the US and Italy. Productions have also been staged in South Korea and Manila.
