Interview: Kieran Brown on My Big Fat MUSICAL Cabaret 2

After the success of his previous cabarets Kieran Brown is back doing what he does best! He will star in 'My Big Fat Musical Cabaret' at the Union Theatre on 29th July 2012. Kieran is currently understudying the roles of Doctor Dillamond and The Wizard in Wicked at The Apollo Victoria.

Speaking to West End Frame Kieran said "Well, it's called My Big Fat MUSICAL Cabaret 2, and basically the title says it all! I did a similar show a couple of times last year at the Pheasantry and Lauderdale House, although this version is predominantly new."

"My aim is to be unlike most cabarets, and focus on some great songs that the majority of the audience will never have heard of, mixed in with some they WILL know and I have quite a lot of new material from writers such as Chris Passey, Christopher Hamilton & Susannah Pearce, Craig Christie, Anderson & Petty and Pippa Cleary & Jake Brunger. Some of the new work has never been performed before and 2 of these songs have been written especially for me which I am particularly thrilled about!"

Scott Morgan and Chris Passey are musical directors for the event. Keiren told us how there will be much more than just singing during the evening "I'm having a musical themed 'pub' quiz throughout, and a magician to entertain while the audience are coming in, and at the interval."

Of course like in any good cabaret there will be a few guests! Keiran will be joined by Ria Jones, Sophia Ragavelas, Ali Natkiel and Jackie Hughes, who is also currently starring in Wicked.

Telling us what else to expect Kieran said "I have a special Wicked treat or two for fans of the show, and plenty of great songs from Taboo (Broadway AND UK productions), Jersey Boys, Witches of Eastwick, Metropolis, a Sondhiem medley, some Lloyd Webber (with a twist), and all in all I am aiming for a party atmosphere!!!"
