Press Night Pics: Disney's Aladdin opens in the West End

Last night, (15th June), Disney’s Aladdin celebrated its West End opening at the Prince Edward Theatre. 

As well as composer Alan Menken and director/choreographer Casey Nicholaw, guests included John Boyega, Mark Hamill, Tom and Giovanna Fletcher, Andrew Scott, Luke Evans, Cynthia Erivo, Jenni Falconer, Preeya Kalidas, Sanjeev Bhaskar, Katherine Kelly, Ricky Wilson and Rufus Hound. Check out images below (click picture to enlarge).

Press Night Pics: Running Wild opens at the Open Air Theatre

Last night the Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre’s production of  Michael Morpurgo’s  Running Wild celebrated its opening. Adapted by Samuel Adamson, Running Wild runs until 12th June 2016. Check out images from press night below (click image to enlarge).

The part of Will is shared between three young performers; Joshua Fernandes, Tyler Osborne and Ava Potter, who previously appeared as Scout in the Open Air Theatre’s production of To Kill a Mockingbird. Sharing the stage with the young performers are Hattie Ladbury as Mum/Geraldine, Ira Mandela Siobhan as Dad/Hunter, Eric Mallett as Grandad/Kaya, Joyce Henderson as Grandma, Stephen Ventura as Mr Anthony and Okorie Chukwu as Red Bandana/Mahout.

Press Night Pics: McQueen at the St James Theatre starring Stephen Wight & Dianna Agron

Two press nights were held earlier this week for McQueen at the St James Theatre on 19th and 20th May 2015. Celebrity guests were in attendance as well as Alexander McQueen's family. Check out images below (click picture to enlarge).

McQueen stars Stephen Wight in the title role and Dianna Agron as Dahlia as well as Tracy-Ann Oberman as Isabella Blow, Laura Rees as Arabella and David Shaw-Parker as John Hitchcock. Sophie Apollonia, Amber Doyle, George Hill, Eloise Hymas, Jordan Kennedy, Rachel Louisa Maybank, James Revell and Carrie Willis complete the cast.

Press Night Pics: ENO's Sweeney Todd starring Bryn Terfel & Emma Thompson

Last night the English National Opera's Sweeney Todd officially opened at the London Coliseum. Special guests included Jacquie Brunjes, Yvie Burnett, Jayne Torvill, Chrissy Gaffney, Richard Stilgoe and Frank Skinner as well as Mr Stephen Sondheim! Check out images below (click image to enlarge).

Sweeney Todd is the first production in a major new long term partnership between English National Opera (ENO) and the GradeLinnit Company. It runs for a limited season at the London Coliseum until 12th April 2015. 

Bryn Terfel and Emma Thompson lead the cast as Sweeney Todd and Mrs. Lovett in Lonny Price’s production of Stephen Sondheim and Hugh Wheeler’s  musical. Joining them are Matthew Seadon-Young as Anthony Hope, Katie Hall as Johanna Barker, Philip Quast as Judge Turpin, Jack North as Tobias Ragg, Alex Gaumond as Beadle Bamford, Rosalie Craig as Beggar Woman and John Owen-Jones as Pirelli. 

Press Night Pics: Lord Of The Dance transfers to the Dominion Theatre

Coinciding with St Patrick's Day, last night (17th March) Lord Of The Dance: Dangerous Games celebrated its transfer to the Dominion Theatre with a gala performance. Special guests included Eamonn Holmes, Ruth Langsford, Angela Rippon and Michael Buerk. Check out images from the evening below (select picture to enlarge).

Michael Flatley is making a special appearance in Lord of the Dance: Dangerous Games until 24th March, paving the way for new young superstar James Keegan, who will be performing the lead role of Lord of the Dance. Girls Aloud star Nadine Coyle reprises the role of Erin the Goddess until 21st March 2015.
