Idina Menzel & Kristin Chenoweth to release new albums on the same date!

What is this feeling, so sudden and new? It has been revealed that original Wicked stars Idina Menzel and Kristin Chenoweth are both releasing new albums on the same date.

In the early hours of this morning Menzel went live on Facebook to announce that her new album 'idina.' will be released on 23rd September 2016. Last night Chenoweth tweeted fans, telling them to "save the date" as her new album is being released on 23rd September.

Chenoweth's new album is rumoured to be titled 'The Art of Elegance'; however, further information is yet to be announced. 

Kristin Chenoweth to star in Hairspray LIVE!

Kristin Chenoweth has joined the cast of NBC’s Hairspray LIVE, taking on the role of Velma Von Tussle. The live broadcast will take place on 7th December 2016.

Chenoweth joins Harvey Fierstein who, as well as writing the screenplay for the live broadcast, will reprise the role of Edna Turnblad which he originated on Broadway.

The cast also includes Jennifer Hudson as Motormouth Maybelle, Martin Short as Wilbur Turnblad and Derek Hough as Corny Collins. Maddie Baillio is making her professional debut as Tracy.

Kristin Chenoweth to perform Royal Albert Hall concert in July

Emmy and Tony Award winner Kristin Chenoweth will perform in the UK for one-night-only later this year.

An Evening with Kristin Chenoweth takes place at the Royal Albert Hall on 12th July 2014. Kristin will perform hits from across her extensive career.

Best known for creating the role of Glinda in Wicked on Broadway, the performer famously transitions between stage, television, film and boasts an accomplished singing career. She has received rave reviews for her television roles in Pushing Dasies, Glee and The West Wing and has also featured as a guest judge on American Idol.

Kristin Chenoweth forced to cancel UK Tour after lack of funding from tour promoter Speckulation

Kristin Chenoweth's 2013 UK tour dates have been cancelled by the tour's promoter. Kristin was due to perform in London, Manchester, Edinburgh and Cardiff.

According to BroadwayWorld.com, the last minute cancellation of the sold out tour is due to lack of funding from Speckulation Entertainment. Apparently Kristin is devastated for her fans and appreciates their continued support." Kristin also made her feeling clear on Twitter. She said "Trust me nobody is more heartbroken than I. Devastated.Was ready to go. And now completely devastated. I am Sorry to my UK fans. Not a good day. A horrible day. Cant believe im not going to be at a sold out show in London. What a blow."
