Ghost Stories announces West End closure

Producers of Ghost Stories have announced that the show will end its current West End run at the Arts Theatre on 15th March 2015 after nearly 1,000 performances.

Since premiering five years ago, Ghost Stories has been performed to 400,000 people worldwide. Ghost Stories opened at the Arts Theatre in February 2014 where it has broken all box office records in its history, including playing to a record number of people in one night on the spookiest night of the year, Halloween.

Co-creator of the show Andy Nyman said: "When Jeremy (Dyson) and I first conceived Ghost Stories, we never expected that the show would go on to be a cult hit, playing all over the world, with people returning time and again to be scared out of their minds. We’re hugely proud of its success."

Following its 2010/11 West End run, Jeremy Dyson and Andy Nyman's Ghost Stories has returned to the West End. The creators ask the press and audience to keep the show's plot a secret which makes it a little more challenging to review, but it's important to see Ghost Stories without knowing any spoilers.

Ghost Stories returning to the West End

It has been announced that Jeremy Dyson and Andy Nyman's Ghost Stories will return to the West End next year. The production will open at the Arts Theatre on 28th February 2014 (previews from 13th February) and run until 24th May 2014.

Ghost Stories broke all box-office records at the Liverpool Playhouse and Lyric Hammersmith before scaring over 130, 000 people at the West End's Duke of York's Theatre between June 2010 and July 2011.

Ghost Stories is described as a "truly terrifying theatrical experience." The show mixes the very best of theatre with the buzz of a thrill-ride, delivering something truly unique. With some new moments of shock, this revival promises more jolts than ever."
