VOTE: Best West End Debut 2016

Voting is open for Best West End Debut 2016, the final West End Frame Award! Voting opened at 2pm on Friday 23rd September and closes on Wednesday 28th September 2016 at 3pm. This award is a celebration of the West End's newest talent.

'Follow' us on Twitter and Instagram and 'Like' us on Facebook for exclusive updates during the voting period and to be the first to find out when the result is announced on Thursday 29th September 2016. Please note, the result can be previewed until Monday 26th September 2016.

Last year's Best West End Debut Award was won by Matt Cardle for making his West End debut in Memphis. Previous winners also include Willemijn Verkaik (Wicked), Zrinka Cvitešić (Once) and Shayne Ward (Rock Of Ages).

Unlike other theatre awards, West End Frame only opens voting for one category at a time and combines male and female actors from new and long-running productions into the same categories (where applicable). The 2016 West End Frame Awards began in June with Rachelle Ann Go winning Best Performance of a Song for her rendition of 'I Dreamed A Dream' in Les Miserables. Last month Curious Incident's Thomas Dennis won Understudy of the Year.

  1. Cedric Neal's performance in Motown was as passionate and heartfelt as anything I've ever seen. His voice could melt the hardest of souls. This should not be a contest.

  9. What an astounding debut from Joseph Ayre as Christopher Boon in Curious Incident. It is a measure of his talent that he secured this role before he had even graduated from drama school

  10. Cursed Child was the worst play I've ever seen in my life - as a massive Potter fan it broke my heart - but Boyle is an amazing talent who deserves recognition. Hopefully he'll go on to star in better plays.

    1. The script/plot was VERY questionable, I agree (also as a massive Potter fan). But the special effects and ANTHONY BOYLE AS SCORPIUS was what saved the whole play and motivated me to watch it twice! I would even go to say that Anthony Boyle was by FAR the greatest part of the play, even more impressive than the special effects (oh and the special effects were out of this world...) so that's saying something. He deserves this award a million times over, and I can't wait to follow/ watch him throughout his career. He is a true gem.
