Casting announced for Aladdin Croydon

Casting has been announced for Croydon's 2016 pantomime, Aladdin.

CBeebies' stars Abe Jarmand (The Let's Go Club) and Jane Deane (Justin's House) will lead the cast as Aladdin and the Slave of the Ring respectively. 

Also in the cast are Steve Fortune (Seven Brides for Seven Brothers/ Chess, pictured) as Dame Widow Twankey, Steve Edwin (Florrie's Dragons/Holby City) as Abanazar, KM Drew Boateng (The Realness/Hackney Empire’s Dick Whittington) as Genie of the Lamp, Christina Harris (It's a Bird, It's a Plane, It's Superman) as Princess Jasmine, Dean Kilford (Blood Brothers) as Wishee Washee and Jon Conway (Goosebumps Alive) as the Emperor of Old Peking.

Following the closure of Fairfield Halls to undergo a two-year refurbishment, Q Productions are producing Aladdin to ensure Croydon still has a pantomime this Christmas. As previously announced, the panto will run between 7th December and 31st December 2016 at Waddon Leisure Centre. The venue is being converted into a 400-seat theatre specially for the production.
