Sheridan Smith to star in Funny Girl UK tour!

Sheridan Smith will reprise her performance as Fanny Brice at selected venues for the UK tour of Funny Girl.

She is set to perform in Manchester, Milton Keynes, Liverpool, Bristol, Edinburgh, Birmingham, Newcastle, Southampton, Bradford, Southend, Cardiff and Dublin. 

Further casting will be announced shortly, and patrons should check with venues for the performance playing schedule. Smith first played Fanny Brice when Michael Mayer's production opened at the Menier Chocolate Factory in December 2015.

Smith then reprised her performance for the West End transfer, which concludes its run at the Savoy Theatre on Saturday 8th October 2016. Funny Girl has music by Jule Styne, lyrics by Bob Merrill and book by Isobel Lennart from an original story by Miss Lennart. 

This production is choreographed by Lynne Page with set by Michael Pavelka, a revised book by Harvey Fierstein, costume by Matthew Wright, sound by Richard Brooker, orchestrations by Chris Walker and musical supervision and arrangements by Alan Williams.
