After years of rumours and speculation... innuendo... outuendo... a release date has finally been set for Universal's film adaptation of Wicked!
Universal Studios have said the film will be released on 20th December 2019. As previously rumored the film will be helmed by Stephen Daldry.
Based on Gregory Maguire's book, writer Winnie Holzman and composer/lyricist Stephen Schwartz, will reunite for the film adaptation.
Will there be a new song? Will Idina Menzel play Elphaba's mother? Sadly further information is yet to be announced, but watch this space for updates!
