Nicholas McLean joining The Book of Mormon

He has maggots in his scrotum! Nicholas McLean is joining the West End production of The Book of Mormon from 20th June 2016.

The actor is taking over as the Doctor from Tyrone Huntley who originated the role in the West End and returned to the show earlier this year. 

McLean trained at Mountview and last year played TJ in Sister Act at the Gordon Craig Theatre.

Alexandra Ncube recently joined the cast as Nabulungi. KJ Hippensteel and Brian Sears star as Elder Price and Elder Cunningham alongside Olivier winner Stephen Ashfield as Elder McKinley.

The current cast is completed by Delroy Atkinson, Richard Lloyd-King, Dean Maynard, Kelly Agbowu, Philip Catchpole, Joseph Davenport, Jonathan Dudley, Harry Francis, Lydia Fraser, Reece Kerridge, Alex Lodge, Joshua Lovell, Brianna Ogunbawo, Stephen Rolley, Jacade Simpson, Ellena Vincent, Rodney Vubya, T’Shan Williams, Oliver Ormson, Christopher Copeland, Brendan Cull, Tania Mathurin, David McMullan, Sean Parkins, David O’Reilly, Rhys Taylor and Kayi Ushe.


From South Park creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone and Avenue Q co-creator Robert Lopez,The Book of Mormon follows a pair of Mormon boys sent on a mission to a place that's a long way from Salt Lake City. The musical premiered on Broadway in 2011 before opening in London in 2013.
