Rhydian Roberts to star in Little Shop of Horrors

Little Shop of Horrors will launch a new tour later this year.

Directed by Tara Wilkinson, the show will open on 4th August at the Bournemouth Pavilion before visiting Llandudno, Wimbledon, Belfast, Woking, Aylesbury, Lichfield, Birmingham, Cardiff, Bridlington, Cheltenham, Coventry, Manchester, Glasgow and Blackpool

Former X Factor contestant Rhydian Roberts will play the Dentist. His theatre credits include: Grease, We Will Rock You, The War Of The Worlds, Jesus Christ Superstar and The Rocky Horror Show. 

Choreography is by Matthew Cole with musical supervision by Mark Crossland. Little Shop of Horrors features music by Alan Menken. The musical originally opened off-off-Broadway in 1982 before moving to the Orpheum Theatre off-Broadway later that year where it ran for five years.

Little Shop of Horrors opened in the West End the following year, and in 1986 was adapted into the now iconic cult film starring Rick Moranis, Ellen Greene and Steve Martin. Sheridan Smith starred in the show's 2006 London revival (Menier Chocolate Factory/West End).
