The Bodyguard returning to the West End starring Beverley Knight!

She's got the stuff that we want! It has been revealed by the Daily Mail's Baz Bamigboye that British Soul Queen Beverley Knight is reprising her performance as Rachel Marron in The Bodyguard!

After The Bodyguard's UK tour concludes on 18th June 2016 at the Congress Theatre in Eastbourne, the show will return to the West End for a run at the Dominion Theatre from 15th July 2016 to 15th February 2017.

The Bodyguard previously ran at the Adelphi Theatre between November 2012 and August 2014. Knight made her West End debut in the production in September 2013, boosting box office takings and receiving tremendous acclaim. 

Knight went on to receive an Olivier nomination for originating the role of Felicia Farrell in the West End production of Memphis The Musical (Shaftesbury) before starring as Grizabella in the London revival of Andrew Lloyd Webber's Cats at the London Palladium. She is currently recording a new studio album and preparing to embark on a UK concert tour.

UPDATED (05/02/16): Joining Knight are Rachel John (Nicki Marron), Carole Stennett (alternate Rachel Marron), Mark Holden (Bill Devaney), Alex Andreas (Tony), Dominic Taylor (Sy Spector), Matthew Stathers (Stalker) and Glen Fox (Ray Court).

The cast will also include: Faye Best, Pablo Ceresuela Torres, Carlos Ugarriza Crespo, Lisa Darnell, Charles Hagerty, Emma Joy Hopkins, Ibinabo Jack, Christopher Jeffers, Verity Jones, Phoebe Liberty, Raul Naranjo Garcia, Mary Lynn Tiep, Michael Wade-Peters, Matthew Wesley, Emmy Willow and Mark Willshire.

Final casting, including the role of Frank Farmer and the young boys who will alternate the role of Fletcher, will be announced shortly.
