According to the Daily Mail, the National Theatre and Disney have "informally" finalised a deal to develop a stage version of Pinocchio.
The production will be directed by John Tiffany and written by Enda Walsh. Design will be by Bob Crowley with choreography from Steven Hoggett.
Baz Bamigboye reports that the show will be adapted from the 1940 Disney film as well as Carlo Collidi's original books. As well as featuring the movie's classic songs such as 'When You Wish Upon A Star', the creative team will delve into songs which were written for the film but never used.
