Christopher Dean to to direct and choreograph new international ice show

Olympic and World champion ice dancer Christopher Dean will direct and choreograph the new show from Holiday on Ice

Entitled Believe, the show will receive its world premiere in Germany on 26th November 2015.

Dean and Holiday on Ice are collaborating for the very first time, setting a new milestone in the great tradition of collaborations between Holiday on Ice and Olympic champions.

Following a tour of fifteen German cities, Believe will visit France, opening in Paris on 3rd March 2016. UK dates are yet to be confirmed.

In 1984 Dean and partner Jayne Torvill shot to stardom at the Sarejevo Olympic Games and they became champions with their iconic ice dance routine to Ravel’s spirited Bolero.

Dean said: "I’ve been on the ice for forty-seven years, performing in shows, training and choreographing others but now I look forward to creating a new Holiday on Ice show with the best skaters in the world."

Believe is described as a modern day Romeo and Juliet about desire, jealousy and true love. The creative team includes: Stephen Emmer (Music Director),  Nicolas Vaudelet (Costume Designer) and Bart Doerfler (Artistic Director Holliday on Ice). The show is said to feature Olympic level choreographies combined with the best live music, sumptuous sets, glamorous costumes and hi-tech special effects.
