Katie Birtill is set to star as Charity Valentine in Sweet Charity at the New Wolsey Theatre in Ipswich later this year.
Directed by Peter Rowe, the actor-musician production runs between 3rd and 26th September 2015.
The score features classic numbers such as Big Spender, If My Friends Could See Me Now, The Rhythm of Life and I'm A Brass Band.

Birtill's theatre credits include: Diva and understudy Marian in Priscilla (UK tour), Sue in Dreamboats and Petticoats (UK tour) and Femme Fatale (Upstairs at the Gatehouse). Full casting to be announced.
Sweet Charity has music by Cy Coleman, lyrics by Dorothy Fields and book by Neil Simon. The musical premiered on Broadway in 1966 and was most recently seen in the West End in 2009 with Tamzin Outhwaite starring in the title role.
A concert staging of the musical will run in London this August starring Kerry Ellis, Michael Xavier, Denise Van Outen and Kimberley Walsh.
