Jennifer DiNoia is taking over as Elphaba in the first U.S. tour of Wicked with immediate effect.
Replacing Emma Hunton, DiNoia joins a cast including Chandra Lee Schwartz as Glinda, Kim Zimmer as Madame Morrible and Nick Adams as Fiyero.
The tour concludes at the Pantages Theatre in Los Angeles on Sunday 15th March 2015. This will mark the seventh company and fourth country in which DiNoia has performed the role of Elphaba.
DiNoia recently played Elphaba in the West End production of Wicked at the Apollo Victoria Theatre, marking her UK theatrical debut. She originally joined the Chicago production of Wicked as a swing before becoming an understudy for Elphaba and then taking over as standby Elphaba. DiNoia then transferred to the Broadway production of Wicked as standby Elphaba for two and a half years.
Next she joined the Australian and Korean productions of Wicked before taking over as lead Elphaba in the musical’s second U.S. tour. DiNoia briefly returned to the Broadway production last year before joining the London company as lead Elphaba. Her other theatre credits include: understudy Scaramouche in the U.S. premiere of We Will Rock You (Las Vegas, NV) and understudy Ali in Mamma Mia! (1st U.S. Tour).

Wicked continues to run in the West End and tour the UK. The London cast features Emma Hatton and Savannah Stevenson as Elphaba and Glinda whilst Ashleigh Gray and Emily Tierney play the roles in the UK tour.
