Jennifer DiNoia takes over as Elphaba in Wicked London

It has been announced that Jennifer DiNoia will be the new West End Elphaba.

She takes over from Kerry Ellis on Monday 27th October 2014. DiNoia will play a strictly limited 14 week engagement to Saturday 31st January 2015 at the Apollo Victoria Theatre.

Jennifer DiNoia first joined the cast of Wicked in 2006 and has subsequently performed the role of Elphaba to huge acclaim across North America in the national tour, in both the Broadway and Chicago productions, and internationally in Seoul and Sydney. 

She joins Savannah Stevenson as Glinda, Jeremy Taylor as Fiyero, Martyn Ellis as The Wizard, Liza Sadovy as Madame Morrible, Philip Childs as Doctor Dillamond, Katie Rowley Jones as Nessarose and Sam Lupton as Boq.

DiNoia said: "I am so honoured and excited to be making my West End and UK debut in this incredible role that has been part of my life and career for eight extraordinary years. I look forward to working with Savannah Stevenson and the amazing London company."

Executive Producer (UK) Michael McCabe said: "We are all delighted that Jennifer DiNoia will now get to add London to the extensive list of cities in North America and around the world in which she has already performed the role of Elphaba to such acclaim. We look forward to welcoming her to the West End production for what looks set to be a very special engagement".

The full new West End cast is completed by: Emma Hatton (Standby Elphaba), Sophie Linder-Lee (Standby Glinda), Chloe Ames, Kyle Anthony, Lee Bridgman, Lucyelle Cliffe, Nicholas Collier, Chris Cowley, Maria Coyne, Matthew Croke, Jeanine Dinger, Laura Emmitt, Kerry Enright, Joseph Fletcher, Rosie Fletcher, Sheila Grant, Daniel Hope, Lauren James Ray, Jasmine Kerr, Natalie McQueen, Oliver Metzler, Scott Monello, Rachel Muldoon, Sam Salter, Joe Toland, Hannah Toy, Russell Walker and Liam Wrate.

Ellis plays her final performance as Elphaba on Saturday 25th October 2014.
