VOTE: Best Performance of a Song in a Musical 2014

Voting is now open for West End Frame's Best Performance of a Song in a Musical Award. The award is a celebration of those who wow, move and dazzle West End audiences night after night by giving a stand out performance of a musical number.

UPDATE: Voting is now closed. The result will be announced on Wednesday (14th May 2014).

The award runs as part of the 2014 West End Frame Awards. Unlike other theatre awards, West End Frame only opens voting for one category at a time and combines male and female actors from musicals and plays into the same categories (where applicable). The 2014 West End Frame Awards began last month, with The Book of Mormon winning Funniest West End Show.

In 2012 Rachel Tucker won Best Performance of a Song in a Musical for her performance of 'Defying Gravity' in Wicked and last year the award was won by Sofia Escobar for her performance of 'Wishing You Were Somehow Here Again' in The Phantom of the Opera.

Voting for Best Performance of a Song in a Musical 2014 opened at 2pm on Friday 25th April and must close at 3pm on Monday 12th May 2014. The result can be previewed until Monday 5th May 2014 and will be announced on Wednesday 14th May 2014.

    1. Maybe so many people have voted that each vote only makes up a tiny percentage. Because they round the numbers, the rounded number is still 0%. :(

    2. This is indeed correct. We have received thousands of votes meaning it takes a considerable number of votes to change a percentage.

  11. For sheer difficulty of song and making it so seemless has to be the gorgeous Tam Mutu. Gorgeous inside and out.

  13. Tam Mutu of course!!! The most handsome Javert of all time!! <3 Going back to his performance - Tam's rendition of Stars is absolutely sensational!! I could listen to him sing all day, every day!! He sings every word with such passion and honesty, it really makes the audience connect to the character of Javert. Watching Tam's version makes you see Javert in a whole new light! Apart from Stars, Tam's Soliloquy is also amazing!!! Listening to him sing that soliloquy just makes you want to give Javert a massive hug of sympathy - a man of integrity that was misunderstood, and ended up trapped by his righteous beliefs... Tam Mutu is undoubtedly one of the finest actors in the industry, and this man needs to get the recognition for his amazing work!!

  16. Without a doubt Tam Mutu. Much as I love Gero and Carrie MOTN and OMO aren't the highlight of their shows whereas Stars is.
