Jersey Boys to hold open auditions to find actors to play / understudy Frankie Valli in UK Tour

The producers of Jersey Boys have announced they are holding open auditions for actors to play/understudy the role of Frankie Valli.

Jersey Boys will tour the UK for the first time from September 2014 while continuing its open-ended West End run at the Piccadilly Theatre. Jersey Boys has now been seen by over 19 million people worldwide and is firmly established as one of the West End's longest running and most popular shows. 

Role Details:
  • Leading role
  • Playing age: mid-20s – early 30s
  • Must be 5’9” or shorter with a strong tenor voice with sweet and strong falsetto in the style of Frankie Valli
  • Tenor to high A or Bb plus strong falsetto up to treble G
  • Charismatic and charming, a very strong actor (comfortable with narrative text) with a gritty side as well as a polished veneer
  • Must be comfortable with 4 part harmonies
  • Good movement skills required
  • Rehearsals commence 21st July 2014 for a one-year contract

Audition Date: Friday 28th March 2014. 
Registration at 10.00am.
Be prepared to stay all day.

Venue: Danceworks, 16 Balderton Street, London W1K 6TN

Please bring CV and photo stapled together and prepare 16 bars of a pop song which shows your range (no music from Jersey Boys). Bring sheet music for the pianist.
