Landor Theatre to revive No Way to Treat A Lady, casting announced

It has been announced that the Landor Theatre will stage a revival of American musical comedy No Way to Treat A Lady opening later this month.

The musical, which marks the theatre’s first production in 2014, will open on Friday 24th January (previews from 21st January), running until Sunday 9th February.

The cast features: Graham Mackay-Bruce as Morris Brummell, Simon Loughton as Christopher "Kit" Gill, Kelly Burke as Sarah Stone and Judith Paris as Flora Brummell, Alexandra Gill and The Victims.

Based on William Goldman's best selling novel that became an Academy Award-winning movie, No Way to Treat a Lady is described as a "theatrically charged musical comedy thriller" about a publicity-crazed actor and the endearing detective who persistently pursues him.

A Richard Rodgers Development Award winner, No Way to Treat a Lady received its World Premiere in 1987 off-Broadway in a sold-out, extended run at the Hudson Guild Theatre. It received an off-Broadway revival in 1996 at the York Theatre Company where it was nominated for two Outer Critics Circle Awards (Best Revival and Best Featured Actress) and a Drama Desk Award.

No Way to Treat a Lady has a book, music and lyrics by Douglas J. Cohen and is based on the novel by William Goldman. It is directed by Robert McWhir with choreography by Cessida Carre, design by Robert Griffin, lighting design by Richard Lambert and musical direction by Nicholas Chave.
