Sneak peek at... Rachel Tucker's debut album 'The Reason'

West End star Rachel Tucker will release her debut album, 'The Reason', on 12th August 2013 . Featuring songs Rachel has sung throughout her childhood and career,  each track has been carefully hand picked by the star. You can listen to a 90 second preview of each album track below.

Following her appearance on BBC1's I'd Do Anything, Rachel joined the West End production of We Will Rock You playing Meat. She then went onto star as Elphaba in the West End production of Wicked, playing the role for two-and-a-half years and over 1,000 performances. Rachel played the iconic role for longer than any other actress in the production's history and her album debuts a brand new version of Wicked’s most iconic song, ‘Defying Gravity'. Last year Rachel won the West End Frame Award for 'Best Performance of a Song in a Musical' for her performance of 'Defying Gravity' in Wicked.

Rachel said “I didn't quite know where to start or even how to choose the songs, but once I realised they needed to come from a place and time in my life that was of meaning and importance, it became clear what I should sing! I am absolutely delighted with the outcome of this album. It was a real joy and a pleasure to make.”
