It has been announced that Ready Steady Cook, the UK’s most successful TV cookery show, will hit the road later this year to travel the length and breadth of the UK on its first ever UK Tour. Russell Grant who recently starred in the West End productions of Midnight Tango and The Wizard of Oz will host the shows.
Executive Chef Lesley Waters, who has appeared in over 500 editions of television’s longest running cookery success, will head up the celebrity chefs and is thrilled to announce that TV chef favourites Nick Nairn, Tony Tobin, Brian Turner CBE and Kevin Woodford will be joining her on stage at venues up and down the country.
Following the legendary TV format, guest chefs will work against the clock to prepare a meal, backed up by the classic competing Red Tomato/Green Pepper kitchens. As the chefs work furiously, the audience is offered the chance to vote for their favourite. Members of the public join in with the fun, competing at each tour date, with the winner bringing their very own ‘Quickie Bag’ on-stage. During the show the audience can get tips from the chefs, enjoy some insider gossip on making the TV series and will have the chance to ask the chefs ‘burning’ questions on preparing better meals.
