West End star Shona Lindsay releases Christmas love song

West End star Shona Lindsay has released a special Christmas love song called Your Presence. The track is written by musical theatre writing team Taylor-Rowan & Hughes and is available to download now from iTunes.

Shona made her professional de-but aged 11 in the title role of Annie. She has played some of the the West End’s best loved roles including Christine in Phantom of the Opera, Kathy Seldon in Singing in the Rain, Sandy in Grease, Milly in Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, and Emma in Jekyll & Hyde. She graced the screens of the nation’s TV sets for 2 years playing Sara Briggs in Crossroads as well as ap-pearing in numerous other series and films. Shona is also no stranger to the recording studio with several cast re-cordings under her belt in-cluding the studio cast album of Grease, and her her album Control Yourself. Shona Lindsay will bring to this beautiful new festive song exactly what it needs.

Colin Billing is the musical director for the project. Most notably Colin conducted the world premiere of Lend Me A Tenor, the Godspell tour and production musical director for Cameron Mackintosh’s 25th Anniversary Tour of The Phantom of the Opera.

Writers Taylor-Rowan & Hughes are fast becoming a favourite on the new musical theatre writing scene. Earlier this year Gary Albert Hughes wrote the comedy musical update ditties for the hit reality dating show "Playing It Straight" on E4 and subsequently had a three-page interview and photo shoot in OK! Magazine. Joan Taylor-Rowan's novel "The Bird Skin Shoes" is selling to rave reviews online, and she has won numerous awards and competitions over the years. They have just put on a showcase of their stunning new musical "Kandy Kottage" which was critically acclaimed among some of musical theatre’s most respected producers, directors and theatre goers.
