Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre announces 2014 season

The Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre has announced the details of its 2014 season. Five productions will be staged at the popular venue.

Opening the season on 15th May (running until 7th June), Artistic Director Timothy Sheader will direct Arthur Miller’s 20th Century classic play All My Sons. Harold Brighouse’s Hobson’s Choice will then run from 12th June (until 12th July), directed by Nadia Fall, alongside a production of Twelfth Night re-imagined for everyone aged six and over. This production of Shakespeare’s comedy for younger audiences will be directed by Max Webster and will also be supported by in-school workshops devised by the Young Shakespeare Company for years 3-6.

Celebrated as a landmark piece of American theatre, the Gershwins’Porgy and Bess plays from 17th July (until 23rd August), directed by Timothy Sheader, with a book adapted by Suzan-Lori Parks and a musical score adapted by Diedre L. Murray.

As previously announced, the 2013 critically acclaimed sold-out production of Harper Lee’s To Kill a Mockingbird adapted by Christopher Sergel will then return to the venue completing the 2014 season (28th August to 13th September) prior to a UK Tour.
