The Glenn Miller Story starring Tommy Steele announces new tour dates

Having premiered in August 2015, The Glenn Miller Story will return for a new UK tour later this year.

Tommy Steele will reprise his performance as Glenn Miller when the tour opens at Southend-on-Sea on 5th August 2016. 

The musical will visit: Leeds, Birmingham, Oxford, Plymouth, Nottingham, Malvern, Crawley and Llandudno. The Glenn Miller Story is directed by Bob Tomson and Bill Kenwright with choreography by Bill Deamer.

The Glenn Miller Story extends UK tour

Following an eleven week tour which began in August 2015, The Glenn Miller Story has announced further  dates and venues which take the show  into 2016.

The production will re-open in Peterborough on Tuesday 29th December before visiting Canterbury, Aylesbury, Edinburgh, Dublin, Aberdeen, Eastbourne, Bristol and Liverpool until 5th March 2016. 

Tommy Steele stars as Glenn Miller alongside Ashley Knight as Chummy MacGregor and Sarah Soetaert as Helen Burger. The show is directed by Bob Tomson and Bill Kenwright with choreography by Bill Deamer.

Full casting announced for The Glenn Miller Story

Full casting has been announced for the UK tour of The Glenn Miller Story.

Joining the previously announced Tommy Steele as Glenn Miller are: Ashley Knight as Chummy MacGregor and Sarah Soetaert as Helen Burger.

Completing the cast are: Jon Bonner, Mike Lloyd, Kieran Kuypers, Tim Maxwell-Clarke, Jessica Ellen, Zoe Nicole Adkin, Siobhan Diffin, Nathan Elwick, Alex Tranter and Jordan Oliver.

The production opens on 28th August 2015 at the New Wimbledon Theatre ahead of an eleven week tour. The show is directed by Bob Tomson and Bill Kenwright with choreography by Bill Deamer.

Tour dates have been announced for The Glenn Miller Story starring Tommy Steele.

The production will open on Friday 28th August 2015 at the New Wimbledon Theatre before visiting: Southampton, Newcastle, Stoke-On-Trent, Blackpool, Swansea, Wolverhampton, Manchester, Cardiff and Milton Keynes. Check out full dates and venues below.

The Glenn Miller Story will feature a live 16-piece authentic Glenn Miller orchestra, as well as full supporting company of singers, dancers and actors. The production is directed by Bob Tomson and Bill Kenwright with choreography by Bill Deamer.

Tommy Steele plays Glenn Miller in new Bill Kenwright musical

The Stage has announced that Tommy Steele will play Glenn Miller in a new musical entitled The Glenn Miller Story.

Bill Kenwright will direct and produce the production which has choreography by Bill Deamer. Although further casting is yet to be announced, Matthew Hemley has revealed that the show will feature a 16-piece band (hooray)! The Glenn Miller Story will tour the UK throughout 2015, with Kenwright hoping to bring it to the West End.
