Full casting announced for Almeida's Medea starring Kate Fleetwood

Full casting has been announced for Medea at the Almeida Theatre. The production opens on 1st October (previews from 25th September) and runs until 14th November 2015. 

Rupert Goold will direct Euripides’ masterpiece, as one of world drama’s most infamous characters is brought to life in a new version by controversial feminist writer Rachel Cusk.

Alongside the previously announced Kate Fleetwood (pictured), who makes her Almeida debut in the title role, the cast will include: Michele Austin, Guillarmo Bedward, Sarah Belcher, Amanda Boxer, Richard Cant, Ruth Everett, Georgina Lamb, Emily Mytton, Charlotte Randle, Lukas Rolfe, Justin Salinger, Louis Sayers, Sam Smith, Xavier Moras Spencer, Andy de la Tour and Joseph West.

CONFIRMED: American Psycho transferring to Broadway!

It has been confirmed that American Psycho is transferring to Broadway next year! 

Rupert Goold's production opened at the Almeida Theatre in December 2013 starring Doctor Who's Matt Smith as Patrick Bateman. The show was then going to open off-Broadway; however, the run was cancelled.

Now it has been confirmed that American Psycho will open on Broadway in March 2016, with previews beginning in February. The theatre, exact dates and casting are yet to be announced. 

CONFIRMED: Gemma Arterton to star in Made In Dagenham at the Adelphi Theatre

Following previous reports, producers have confirmed that Gemma Arterton will star in the West End premiere of Made In Dagenham. The musical will open at the Adelphi Theatre on Wednesday 5th November (previews from 9th October). Based on the hit British film, Arterton will play Rita O’Grady in the musical comedy opposite Adrian Der Gregorian as her husband Eddie. Tickets are on sale now.

Arterton is "beyond thrilled" to be creating the role of Rita on stage. The international star of stage and screen said: "It’s an important story that I’m passionate about telling, and we intend to tell it with wit, warmth and, of course, a lot of singing and dancing in this production! Roll on October!"
