Lost Boy extends run at the Charing Cross Theatre; Jodie Jacobs joins cast

It has been announced that Phil Willmott’s new musical Lost Boy, a dark sequel to Peter Pan reuniting JM Barrie's characters as young adults on the eve of the First World War, has extended its run at the Charing Cross Theatre.

Lost Boy will end its current five-week season at Charing Cross Theatre as planned on Saturday 15 February. The theatre then has a 2-week hire. Lost Boy will re-open on Monday 3rd March and run until Saturday 29th March.

Jodie Jacobs, whose West End credits include Regina in Rock Of Ages (Shaftesbury and Garrick), Evita (Adelphi), Little Shop of Horrors (Duke of York’s and Ambassadors), Fame (Aldwych) and We Will Rock You (Dominion), will join the cast as Tinker Bell.

With 2014 marking the 100th anniversary of the First World War it’s safe to assume that there are more than a few theatrical events planned to mark the occasion. One of the first to show its hand though is this new musical from Phil Willmott, and whatever follows it’s hard to imagine that Lost Boy will be matched, at least for its sheer inventiveness.
