Into The Woods at the Menier Chocolate Factory announces new cast

It has been announced that Harry Hepple, Steffan Lloyd-Evans and Laura Tebbutt are taking over as The Baker, Wolf/Cinderella's Prince and Baker's Wife in Into The Woods at the Menier Chocolate Factory. 

They will play their first performance tomorrow  (9th August), replacing Ben Steinfeld, Noah Brody and Jessie Austrian in Fiasco’s production of Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine’s classic musical.

Using ten actors and multiple musical instruments, Into The Woods runs until 17th September 2016. The rest of the company includes original U.S. cast members Paul L. Coffey (Mysterious Man), Andy Grotelueschen (Milky White/Rapunzel's Prince), Liz Hayes (Jack's Mother/Stepmother), Claire Karpen (Cinderella/Granny), Patrick Mulryan (Jack/Steward), Vanessa Reseland (Witch) and Emily Young (Little Red/Rapunzel).

Following success off-Broadway, Fiasco's reimagined production of Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine's musical Into The Woods has found its way to London's Menier Chocolate Factory. A cast of ten perform the musical, with many of them doubling up as musicians.

Production images have been released for Into The Woods by Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine which opens at the Menier Chocolate Factory tonight (12th July) and runs until 17th September 2016. Check out the pictures below (click image to enlarge).

Following a season in New York, innovative theatre company Fiasco have brought their production to London. Using ten actors, multiple musical instruments and boundless imagination, the show is "reimagined as never before". 

The cast includes Jessie Austrian (Baker's Wife), Noah Brody (Wolf/ Cinderella's Prince), Paul L. Coffey (Mysterious Man), Andy Grotelueschen (Milky White/Rapunzel's Prince), Liz Hayes (Jack's Mother/Stepmother), Claire Karpen (Cinderella/Granny), Patrick Mulryan (Jack/Steward), Vanessa Reseland (Witch), Ben Steinfeld (Baker) and Emily Young (Little Red/Rapunzel).

Casting announced for Into The Woods at the Manchester Royal Exchange

Casting has been announced for Into The Woods at the Manchester Royal Exchange.

The show runs between 4th December 2015 and 16th January 2016. Into The Woods has music & lyrics by Stephen Sondheim and book by James Lapine.

Matthew Xia directs with design by Jenny Tiramani, lighting by Ciarán Cunningham, musical direction by Sean Green and choreography by Jason Penncooke.

Into the Woods is a darkly comic exploration of our favourite fairy tales, and their power to delve into our innermost thoughts and desires.

Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine's dark and twisted musical Into The Woods seemed an unlikely choice for a stage to screen adaptation from squeaky clean Disney. Intertwining several fairytales, Into The Woods tells a cleverly pieced together story that translates well on the big screen.

The film sees Cinderella (Anna Kendrick) fleeing from the ball, Little Red Riding Hood (Lilla Crawford) being pursued by the big bad wolf (Johnny Depp), Rapunzel (Mackenzie Mauzy) letting down her hair and Jack (Daniel Huttlestone) being chased down his beanstalk by the giant.

Disney have released the first official images of their Into The Woods film adaptation starring Meryl Streep, Emily Blunt, James Corden, Johnny Depp, Anna Kendrick and Chris Pine.

BuzzFeed.com have released the first images of the upcoming film adaptation of Stephen Sondheim's musical Into The Woods. The all-star cast includes Tracey Ullman, Chris Pine, Christine Baranski, Johnny Depp,  James Corden, Meryl Streep and Emily Blunt.
