BalletBoyz for special gala performance

Following BalletBoyz recent UK tour of the Talent 2013, the company is to celebrate the opening of the new BalletBoyz studio and homebase in Kingston with a special gala performance at the Rose Theatre.

The Gala will take place on Saturday June 22nd and will celebrate the twelve years since BalletBoyz were co-founded by Artistic Directors Michael Nunn and William Trevitt. Following a major refurbishment, the company’s new studio base is on Canbury Park Road and features two fully equipped dance studios, rehearsal and office space and film editing facilities.

The evening will feature excerpts of works commissioned by Michael Nunn and William Trevitt over the years from choreographers including Russell Maliphant, Christopher Wheeldon, Liv Lorent, Paul Roberts, Jarek Cemerek, and Liam Scarlett. The BalletBoyz own all-male company, the Talent, will perform some audience favourites and joining the company onstage will be singer/songwriter, Keaton Henson, whose music was used in the 2010 piece Alpha.

BalletBoyz to start nationwide tour

On Friday 18th January 2013 at the Watford Palace Theatre, the award-winning, internationally renowned and hugely popular BalletBoyz start a nationwide tour of their new double bill the Talent 2013. After thrilling audiences all over the globe with dance shows on stage and TV, the 10-strong all male company will perform new works by Liam Scarlett and Russell Maliphant. Liam has created a piece called ‘Serpent’, Russell’s new piece is called ‘Fallen’; both works reflect the dancers’ many and varied skills and abilities. The Balletboyz will be performing in London on 12th February at the artsdepot and from 8th – 13th March at Sadler’s Wells.

BalletBoyz, co-founded and driven by Michael Nunn and William Trevitt to massive success and acclaim, is coming of age and going global.
