Steven Webb taking over as Elder McKinley in The Book of Mormon

Steven Webb is taking over as Elder McKinley in the West End production of The Book of Mormon from Tuesday 9th August 2016. 

McKinley takes over from Stephen Ashfield who, as previously announced, is transferring to the Broadway production. Ashfield plays his final performance at London's Prince Of Wales Theatre on 6th August 2016.

Webb joins Alexandra Ncube as Nabulungi, KJ Hippensteel as Elder Prince and Brian Sears as Elder Cunningham. The current cast is completed by Nicholas McLean, Delroy Atkinson, Richard Lloyd-King, Dean Maynard, Kelly Agbowu, Philip Catchpole, Joseph Davenport, Jonathan Dudley, Harry Francis, Lydia Fraser, Reece Kerridge, Alex Lodge, Joshua Lovell, Brianna Ogunbawo, Stephen Rolley, Jacade Simpson, Ellena Vincent, Rodney Vubya, T’Shan Williams, Oliver Ormson, Christopher Copeland, Brendan Cull, Tania Mathurin, David McMullan, Sean Parkins, David O’Reilly, Rhys Taylor and Kayi Ushe.

Webb's theatre credits include: I Want My Hat Back (National), As Is & BETWIXT (Trafalgar Studios), Secret Theatre, Jack and the Beanstalk, Cinderella & Aladdin (all Lyric Hammersmith), After the Turn (Courtyard), Departure Lounge (Waterloo East), The History Boys (National/West End) and Oliver & Scrooge (Palladium).

From South Park creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone and Avenue Q co-creator Robert Lopez, The Book of Mormon follows a pair of Mormon boys sent on a mission to a place that's a long way from Salt Lake City. The musical premiered on Broadway in 2011 before opening in London in 2013.
