PICS: Harry Potter and the Cursed Child celebrates opening at the Palace Theatre

Yesterday (30th July) Harry Potter and the Cursed Child celebrated its official opening at the West End's Palace Theatre. Check out images below (click to enlarge). 

250,000 tickets will be released for sale next week on 4th August 2016 at 11am, taking booking through to 10th December 2017. Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, the eighth story in the Harry Potter series and the first official Harry Potter story to be presented on stage, began previews in June 2016 at the Palace Theatre. 

Based on an original new story by J.K. Rowling, Jack Thorneand John Tiffany, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child is a new play by Jack Thorne, directed by John Tiffany with movement by Steven Hoggett. Set is byChristine Jones with costumes by Katrina Lindsay, music & arrangements by Imogen Heap,lighting by Neil Austin, sound by Gareth Fry, illusions & magic by Jamie Harrison, music supervision & arrangements by Martin Lowe and casting by Julia Horan.

The cast is led by Jamie Parker as Harry, Noma Dumezweni as Hermione, Paul Thornley as Ron,Anthony Boyle as Scorpius, Sam Clemmett as Albus, Poppy Miller as Ginny, Alex Price as Draco and Cherrelle Skeete as Rose.
