Michelle Pentecost returns to Wicked as emergency cover Elphaba!

Sweet Oz! Last night Michelle Pentecost returned to the West End production of Wicked to star as Elphaba as an emergency cover.

Pentecost previously understudied Elphaba in the musical which runs at the Apollo Victoria Theatre. She left Wicked in 2013 and prior to last night hadn't played the role for three years.

Pentecost went on due to the indisposition of Emma Hatton, Natalie Andreou, Natalie McQueen and Laura Emmitt. She performed alongside Savannah Stevenson as Glinda.
