Hair to be staged at Manchester's Hope Mill Theatre

Let the Sunshine In! Hair is being revived at Manchester's Hope Mill Theatre.

James Rado, Gerome Ragni and Galt MacDermot's musical will open on 16th November (previews from 12th November) and run until 3rd December 2016.

The production will be directed by Jonathan O’Boyle with musical direction by Gareth Bretherton and choreography by the theatre's co-owner William Whelton.

O'Boyle says: "I'm thrilled to be directing Hair at the Hope Mill in Manchester. The Hope Mill Theatre and the team there have already firmly placed themselves at the forefront of theatre in Manchester and I can't wait to collaborate with them.

"Hair was one of my first introductions to musical theatre. It is a truly groundbreaking and iconic musical that has withstood the test of time and we can't wait to share this brand new, re-invented production with Manchester."

Hair premiered off-Broadway in 1967 before transferring to Broadway and London the following year. The show was last seen in the West End in 2010 starring Gavin Creel, Will Swenson and Caissie Levy.
