GOSSIP: Sierra Boggess to star in French production of The Phantom of the Opera

Andrew Lloyd Webber has revealed that Sierra Boggess is returning to The Phantom of the Opera. 

The composer told BBC Radio 2 that Boggess will be leaving School of Rock on Broadway to reprise her portrayal as Christine in the upcoming French production of Phantom in Paris.

Phantom Paris will open at the Mogador Theatre in October 2016, celebrating the musical's 30th anniversary. It will be the the first time the show has been performed in France and in French.

Boggess has played Christine in The Phantom of the Opera at the Royal Albert Hall, in Las Vegas and on Broadway. She also originated the role in Love Never Dies in the West End. 

Her Broadway credits also include It Shoulda Been You, The Little Mermaid and Master Class and she also played Fantine in the West End production of Les Miserables.

  1. I have seen Phantom and Sierra so many times I can remember every note. But in French it will be perfect. After all that is where the Phantom resided. I cannot wait.
