It has been announced that Fun Home will close on Broadway.
Having won the 2015 Tony Award for Best New Musical, Fun Home will play its final performance at Circle in the Square Theatre on 10th September 2016.
The show will have played 26 preview and 582 regular performances. Fun Home transferred to Broadway in April 2015, after premiering off-Broadway at the Public Theatre.
Producers Kristin Caskey, Mike Isaacson and Barbara Whitman have released the following statement: "Fun Home has been a small miracle since our first preview at The Public Theater. We're incredibly proud and grateful that this show has had universal acclaim and such an extended life. We're thrilled that Fun Home will now head out across the country this fall, and thousands of others will get to experience this truly extraordinary production."
