Casting announced for new The Wind in the Willows musical

Casting has been announced for the upcoming major musical adaptation of The Wind in the Willows.

The show receives its world premiere at Theatre Royal in Plymouth from 8th October 2016 followed by dates at The Lowry in Salford and the Mayflower Theatre in Southampton. Producers are then aiming to transfer to show to the West End.

Rufus Hound will star as Mr Toad with the cast also including Fra Fee as Mole, Thomas Howes as Ratty, Neil McDermott as Chief Weasel and Sophia Nomvete as Mrs Otter.

The cast also includes Rakesh Boury, Courtney Bowman, Jenna Boyd, Abigail Brodie, Jorell Coiffic-Kamall, Nicole Deon, James Gant, Evan James, Graham Lappin, Michael Larcombe, Bethany Linsdell, Dylan Mason, Emma Odell, Ryan Pidgen, Patrick Sullivan, Karli Vale, Adam Vaughan, Georgie Westall and Holly Willock.

Further casting is to be announced. 

Based on Kenneth Grahame’s novel, The Wind in the Willows has book by Julian Fellowes and music and lyrics by George Stiles and Anthony Drewe. Fellowes, Stiles and Drewe previously collaborated together on Mary Poppins and are currently working together on Half a Sixpence.
