Casting has been announced for the UK premiere of The Great American Trailer Park Musical.
Directed by Kirk Jameson, the show is set to open at the Waterloo East Theatre on 17th May (previews from 11th May) and run until 5th June 2016.
The cast will include Rosemary Ashe (The Phantom of the Opera/Mary Poppins), Sabrina Aloueche (We Will Rock You/Les Miserables), Jemma Alexander (Wicked/Rent), Jodie Steele (War Of The Worlds/Jesus Christ Superstar), Michelle Bishop (Sunset Boulevard/Bend it Like Bekham) and Adam Vaughn (From Here to Eternity/Billy Elliot).
The Great American Trailer Park Musical has music & lyrics by David Nehls and book by Betsy Kelso. It's described as "a musical comic fable exploring the relationships between the tenants at the exclusive Armadillo Acres Trailer Park in Florida".
The show premiered at the first annual New York Music Theatre Festival in 2004 and transferred to The Dodger Stages off-Broadway in 2005, it has since played throughout the USA, Australia and Europe.
Choreography will be by Rebecca Howell with musical direction by James Taylor.
