Even more productions of Hamilton in the works

Hamilton is one step closer to world domination!

In an interview with the New York Times, producer Jeffrey Seller revealed that there could be as many as seven Hamilton companies in addition to the Broadway production.

Seller confirmed that he is working with Cameron Mackintosh to bring Hamilton to the West End. It was reported last month that the show will open at the Victoria Palace Theatre in 2017.

After Hamilton opens in London, the show is likely to launch in Continental Europe and Australia. As previously announced, a sit down production is opening in Chicago and a U.S. tour is launching with a five month run in San Francisco before moving on to Los Angeles. Seller says there is likely to be an additional U.S. tour which will open in another West Coast city.

Currently, with just one production running in New York, Hamilton is averaging more than $500,000 in profit every week.

Hamilton is directed by Thomas Kail with book, music and lyrics by Lin-Manuel Miranda. The show opened on Broadway last year to tremendous acclaim and is currently sold out for the rest of the year. 

The current Broadway cast includes Miranda in the title role with Jonathan Groff as King George III, Christopher Jackson as George Washington, Leslie Odom Jr. as Aaron Burr, Phillipa Soo as Eliza Hamilton, Anthony Ramos as John Laurens/Phillip Hamilton, Daveed Diggs as Marquis De Lafayette/Thomas Jefferson, Renée Elise Goldsberry as Angelica Schuyler and Javier Muñoz as alternate Hamilton. Rory O'Malley takes over from Groff as King George on 11th April.
