Casting announced for Dirty Dancing UK & Ireland tour!

Casting has been announced for UK and Ireland tour of the brand new production of Dirty Dancing. Lewis Griffiths will star as Johnny Castle, playing opposite Katie Hartland as Baby Houseman and Carlie Milner as Penny Johnson.


The show will also star Julian Harries as ‘Jake Houseman’, Simone Craddock as ‘Marjorie Houseman’, Roger Martin as 'Max Kellerman’, Jo Servi as ‘Tito Suarez’, Lizzie Ottley as ‘Lisa Houseman’, Michael Kent as ‘Billy Kostecki’, Greg Fossard as ‘Neil Kellerman’, Tony Stansfield as ‘Mr Schumacher’ and Daniela Dobega as ‘Elizabeth’.

Completing the cast are Gabby Antrobus, Imogen Brooke, Simon Campbell, Robert Colvin, Katie Eccles, Beth Highsted, Megan Louch, Ashley Rumble, Callum Sterling, Austin Wilks and Karl James Wilson.

Griffiths recently originated the role of Nick Massi in the UK tour of Jersey Boys. His West End credits include: understudy Frank in Priscilla Queen Of The Desert, Estonia/Russia/Sweden in Eurobeat - Almost Eurovision, understudy Benny in RENT: Remixed, understudy Nick & Schlomo in FAME and Whistle Down The Wind. His other credits include: Kyle The UPS Guy/understudy Warner in Legally Blonde (UK Tour), understudy Carl in Ghost The Musical (UK Tour), Don't Stop Believin' (UK Tour), Keno "Buddy" Walsh in The Full Monty (Key Theatre, Peterborough) and Carminé in Love Shack (UK Tour). Dirty Dancing marks Hartland's professional musical theatre debut. Milner joined Dirty Dancing as a member of the ensemble in 2014, she covered and subsequently took over the role of ‘Penny’ in 2015.

With a new creative team, the new UK tour follows two West End runs and UK tours. Casting to be announced after Easter. The show is directed by Federico Bellone, choreographed byGillian Bruce and with design re-imagined by top Italian set designer Roberto Cometti
