Evelyn Hoskins announces April solo show

It has been announced that Evelyn Hoskins will play a solo show at Battersea Barge next month.

Entitled There Was A Little Girl, the show will take place on 24th April 2016 with tickets on sale now. Frances Ruffelle directs.

Last year Hoskins played her first solo show at Upstairs at the Arts. She will "share songs, old and new," with some special to-be-announced guests.

Along with musical director James Taylor and in association with Avalanche, this will be a one-off intimate show before Hoskins heads off to New York this summer to star in Alan Ayckbourn's Hero's Welcome off-Broadway.

Special guests will include Sam Lupton (Wicked/Avenue Q) and Jon Tarcy who starred opposite Hoskins as Rolf in The Sound of Music Live.

Hoskins famously created the role of Thea in the UK premiere of Spring Awakening at the Lyric Hammersmith which transferred to the West End’s Novello Theatre. She recently played Liesl in ITV's The Sound of Music Live and the title role in Carrie The Musical at the Southwark Playhouse.Hoskins has also played Lucy in Misfits (E4) and Shona in both Casualty and Holby City (BBC).

The actress has also worked on: Wendy Darling in Peter Pan (US Tour), the title role in Alice's House Of Cards (Royal Festival Hall), Nicky in This Is My Family (Sheffield Crucible/UK Tour), Kevin in The Boy Who Fell Into A Book (Stephen Joseph Theatre, directed by Alan Aykbourn), Sophie in The Iguanodon Queen (Bush Theatre) and Martha in The Secret Garden (Birmingham Rep).
