Tony Yazbeck announces departure from Finding Neverland

Tony Yazbeck has announced that he will leave the Broadway production of Finding Neverland on 27th March 2016.

Yazbeck took over the role of J.M. Barrie from Matthew Morrison last month.

Earlier this week it was reported by the New York Times that Alfie Boe, who plays his final performance as Jean Valjean in the Broadway revival of Les Miserables on 28th February, will take over as J.M. Barrie in Finding Neverland later this year before starring in the musical's London transfer in January 2017. However, Boe's rumoured casting has not been confirmed.

Finding Neverland is directed by Diane Paulus. Take That's Gary Barlow co-wrote the score with Eliot Kennedy whilst book is by James Graham with choreography by Mia Michaels. Finding Neverland opened on Broadway in February 2015.
