The War of The Worlds cancels first preview at the Dominion Theatre

Producers of The War of The Worlds have been forced to cancel the show's first preview tomorrow (8th February) at the Dominion Theatre due to "unforeseen circumstances".


The musical will now play its first West End performance on 9th February. Ticket holders for the cancelled performance should contact their point of purchase to arrange a refund or exchange. The War of The Worlds opens to press on 17th February and runs until 30th April 2016.

A statement released via Twitter reads: "Due to unforeseen circumstances the producers have taken the very difficult decision to reschedule the first West End preview of Jeff Wayne’s Musical Version of The War of The Worlds to Tuesday 9 February. The performance on Monday 8 February will not now take place.

"Anyone who has bought tickets for this performance may exchange to any other date of their choice, subject to availability, or, opt for a full refund. Please contact the box office or the ticket agent you purchased your tickets from for further information on how to exchange your ticket. We apologise for any disappointment caused and hope you will join us at a later date for what promises to be a spectacular production. Thank you."

Produced by Bill Kenwright, The War of The Worldstransfers to London following many years of world arena tours. The iconic score is played live and conducted on stage by Jeff Wayne. 

The musical will star Jimmy Nail as Parson Nathaniel, Daniel Bedingfield as The Artilleryman, Heidi Range as Beth, Michael Praed as George Herbert, Madalena Alberto as Carrie and David Essex as The Voice Of Humanity. Liam Neeson will appear as The Journalist as a 3D hologram.

Completing the cast are Will Barratt, Charlie Bull, Antony Hansen, Chris Jenkins, Grace McKee, Simon Shorten, Ethan Bradshaw, Tash Holway, Matt Holland, Jack Mitchell, Marios Nicolaides and Jodie Steele.
