This year's Oliviers are being held on Sunday 3rd April 2016 at the Royal Opera House whilst nominations will be announced next Monday (29th February).
Ball previously won Olivier Awards for his performances in Hairspray and Sweeney Todd. He co-costed the awards in 2011 and 2012 with Imelda Staunton. Ball will also host next week's nominations announcement which will be live streamed online.
Voting has now opened for the Magic Radio Audience Award. The award, created to celebrate London’s long running shows, is the only category voted for entirely by members of the public. This year there are 16 eligible shows for which theatre fans from across the world are able to vote.
To vote for your favourite long-running West End show visit www.olivierawards.com before 12 noon on 11th March. The four shortlisted shows will be announced on Magic Radio on 14th March. They will then perform on the ITV Stage in Covent Garden Piazza on Sunday 3rd April.
The full event on the public stage in Covent Garden, featuring live performances from the Magic Radio Audience Award shortlisted shows and others, will be live streamed worldwide via the new Olivier Awards’ YouTube Channel.
