Kirsty Bushell to star in Hedda Gabler at the Salisbury Playhouse

Initial casting has been announced for the Salisbury Playhouse’s production of Hedda Gabler by Henrik Ibsen.

Adapted by Brian Friel and directed by Gareth Machin, the production opens in the Main House on 18th March (previews from 17th March) and runs until 2nd April 2016.  

The title role will be played by Kirsty Bushell who recently appeared in Ivo van Hove’s international tour of Antigone and has performed in many productions for both the Royal Shakespeare Company and the National Theatre.

Jane Wymark (Midsomer Murders/This May Hurt a Bit) joins the cast as Juliana whilst Petra Markham (Separate Tables) plays Bertha. Further casting to be announced.

Hedda Gabler is designed by James Button with lighting by Howard Hudson plus sound and compositions by Harry Blake.
