Full casting announced for Broadway transfer of American Psycho

Full casting has been announced for the Broadway transfer of American Psycho.

The musical opens at New York's Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre on 20th April (previews from 19th February).

Benjamin Walker (Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson, pictured) will star in the show as Patrick Bateman, a 1980s banker who leads a secret double life as a serial killer. 

Alice Ripley (Next to Normal) has been cast as Patrick Bateman's mother and Mrs. Wolfe, alongside Jennifer Damiano (Spider-Man Turn Off the Dark) as Jean and Heléne Yorke (Bullets Over Broadway) as Evelyn Williams.

The cast also includes Drew Moerlein as Paul Owen, Krystina Alabado as Vandan, Dave Thomas Brown as David van Patten, Jordan Dean as Luis Carruthers, Anna Eilinsfeld as Victoria, Jason Hite as Sean Bateman, Ericka Hunter as Sabrina, Holly James as Christine, Keith Randolph Smith as Detective Kimball, Alex Michael Stoll as Craig McDermott and Morgan Weed as Courtney Lawrence. Sydney Morton, Anthony Sagaria and Neka Zang complete the cast.

Rupert Goold's production opened at London's Almeida Theatre in December 2013 starring Doctor Who's Matt Smith as Patrick Bateman. The show was then going to open off-Broadway; however, the run was cancelled. American Psycho is based on the novel by Bret Easton Ellis. The show has music and lyrics by Duncan Sheik with book by Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa.
