David Thaxton, Caroline Sheen & Neil McDermott to star in new musical Only The Brave

It has been announced that a new British musical entitled Only The Brave will run in Cardiff later this year.

Only The Brave is based on the real lives of men and women caught up in the D-Day landings.

Directed by the Soho Theatre's artistic director Steve Marmion, the musical will run at the Wales Millennium Centre in Cardiff between  28th March and 2nd April 2016, marking the venue's first full-scale, original musical.

The cast includes Olivier winner David Thaxton (Passion/LesMiserables) as Captain John, Caroline Sheen (Mary Poppins/City Of Angels) as Joy and Neil McDermott (EastEnders/Shrek) as Lieutenant Denham.

With book by writer Rachel Wagstaff, music by Matthew Brind and lyrics by Steve Marmion, Only The Brave tells the "heartbreaking and inspirational" true story of two couples brought together by war.
