GOSSIP: Andrew Scott to play Hamlet?

According to the Daily Mail's Baz Bamigboye, Sherlock/Spectre actor Andrew Scott is in "advanced discussions" to play Hamlet.

Bamigboye reports Scott is hoping to play the role at the Almeida Theatre, but stresses that dates are still being negotiated. 

The production could be staged in late 2016 or in early 2017. Please remember nothing has been confirmed.

Robert Icke is set to direct the production following his recent success with Oresteia which transferred to the West End following its run at the Almeida.
